Urban Agriculture Internships
Farm Internship
The Farm Internship program at Evanston Grows is designed to provide hands-on experience in urban agriculture and farming. We manage urban farm sites throughout Evanston, where we grow and distribute produce to our community. Interns gain practical skills in small-scale, organic, and sustainable food production, including seeding, transplanting, watering, soil practices, plant care, integrated pest management, food safety, harvesting, processing, and distribution of produce, as well as record keeping and volunteer management. The internship is a 10-week educational training program held seasonally in the Spring, Summer and Fall. At the end of each session, interns receive an Urban Agriculture Training Certificate.
Spring Session: April-June
Summer: June- August
Fall: August -October

Administrative & Educational Programming Internship--Summer
The Administrative & Educational Programming Internship program offers participants the opportunity to work on projects aligned with their interests while supporting our organization's mission. Interns can choose from a variety of projects ranging from research to outreach education and more. The summer internship program lasts approximately 10 weeks for 5-10 hours per week. It is unpaid, but if you are a college student, your college/university may have a summer stipend available for unpaid internships with non-profit organizations. Please check with your school's college and career office to see what funding may be available to you. We value the work of our interns, but currently, do not have the funding for this program.

Evanston Grows offers internships stipends. For college students, we offer placement and supervision hours to help meet major requirements.
