EVANSTON GROWS NEEDS YOUR OLD GARDENING TOOLS!

Hand trowels, spades, heavy rakes, cultivators…email us if you have some in your garage longing for the soil. mary.c@evanstongrows.org

FOOD SCHLEPPERS NEEDED!

Evanston Grows has helped neighbors access tens of thousands of dollars worth of food from Whole Foods in downtown Evanston.  

 Help is needed to sustain this amazing effort.  If you have a car, can lift 20+ pounds and have availability on Wednesday or Thursday mornings, email mary.c@evanstongrows.org

DRIVERS FOR EG NEEDED - Beginning 6/5

We need a few folks who can drive to Backyard Flower Lab in Winnetka on Thursday mornings to pick up cut flowers and deliver them to Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center. The flowers bring lots of joy to all kinds of farm stand visitors!

REMINDERS FOR FARM HELPERS:

  • Mandatory: Wear closed-toed shoes (no sandals, flip flops or crocs allowed)

  • Dress for the weather! Wear layers, especially in the Spring and Fall

  • Wear clothes that can get dirty

  • Bring garden gloves and your favorite tools if you have them

  • Bring a bottle of water and sunscreen
