edible evanston food forest
2217 SIMPSON STREET (in Eggleston Park)
The Eggleston Park Food Forest is a diverse planting of perennial edible trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants - including fruits, vegetables, nuts and herbs - designed to mimic the natural balance of a forest by utilizing permaculture principles. Edible Evanston offers work & learn days at the Food Forest, as well as sponsoring the annual local seed swap, new gardener group classes, and a robust individual growers sharing program.
